An immersive artistic journey with Alan Squires during his Artist Residency at The Shutter Room. This residency will showcase a captivating collection of landscape and commercial works that pay homage to the beauty, culture, and spirit of Whangarei.
The Shutter Room will transform into a dynamic and ever-evolving studio exhibition, offering visitors a glimpse into the artistic process. The space will feature a curated selection of new and past works, providing insight into the evolution of Squires' artistic vision. Additionally, the residency will showcase works in progress, allowing visitors to witness the creation of new pieces and engage with the artist's creative process.
The Shutter Room will serve as Squires' working studio, inviting the public to observe and experience the artist's practice firsthand. This unique opportunity will allow visitors to connect with Squires' work on a deeper level and gain a greater understanding of the inspiration and techniques behind his art.
