Maggie Cocco’s Science for Sociopaths featuring Nimmy Santhosh

Curated by Maggie Cocco and Nimmy Santhosh

A unique opportunity to experience and explore interactive sensory cathartic multimedia performance. This experiment explores interpersonal and systemic trauma and resilience through music, photography, and tattoo. Opening night participants are provided temporary tattoo pens to use on themselves (or others, with permission), making marks to represent the metaphysical marks left by experiences relayed through song and story. Mindful engagement allows heavy themes to pass through listeners and facilitates clarity, catharsis, and release while photography captures the process. It is our desire that what is revealed in the resultant documentary photography based slow installation opens a dialogue in the community about the themes and mediums explored.
